Abstract Submissions


Abstract submissions are now closed.

Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) is pleased to announce that the platform and poster abstract submission is open (on December 9, 2016).  The deadline for submissions is Friday, February 24, 2017.

We welcome abstracts for platform (Keynote Address, Plenary Session, and General Platform Presentation) and posters on the topics of spinal cord injury; spinal cord disease, such as multiple sclerosis (MS) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS); traumatic brain injury (TBI); research/investigation; and health care policy/administration.

Guidelines for Submission: All abstracts must be submitted electronically. The first link below will allow you to submit an abstract. Please also see the second link, as the submission guidelines are explained in further detail.

Submission Date: Platform and Poster abstracts must be submitted by midnight (EST) Friday, February 24, 2017.

Selection Criteria: Abstracts will be reviewed based on the following criteria.

  • Clarity of description of the content and presentation method
  • Importance, depth, focus, level of audience interest
  • Application to a variety of settings
  • Presenter’s professional background and speaking experience
  • Absence of commercial content
  • Originality of topic/presentation (has not been presented at other SCI/MS programs)

All submitted abstracts are required to meet CME/CE accreditation standards to be approved for credit. Abstracts of presentations should be balanced and free of commercial bias. Commercial content, product endorsements, or service related advertisements are not permitted.
